Hi everyone,

I am new to the GBP world. I recently had it shipped to australia so i could start making my own ginger beer.

The question i have is, after removing thr bug and bottling the brew, how much carbonation should i expect? Should it be as "fizzy" as a coke or s lemonade or is it far less then that?

Also what hsve you sll found is the best solution to removing the juice from fresh ginger?

TIA :D
Ben

With ginger beer, how fizzy it is varies greatly. My gbp tends to be more fizzy than my water kefir even when fed similar recipes. Occasionally I will get a ridiculously fizzy ginger beer right after its done brewing. But usually its very mild. Less than a coke I would say. But then I will let it sit in the fridge for a few days and that's when the real magic begins. It will get much more fizzy from that or if I do a 2nd ferment. Add a little ginger or grape juice and then store it. It should become really fizzy, maybe enough to blow up your fridge, lol.
