Re: Storing grains in their delivery packet?

Hi Alison,

They will probably be fine if you put them in the fridge for a couple months. If you have time though, its better if you transfer the grains to a jar of sugar water in the fridge.

Re: Milk kefir grains converted to water kefir

Hi Glo! It sounds like you are having fun. Converted milk kefir grains will never really turn crystalline as they are distinct cultures. The environment will change the milk kefir grains and they may not even look like typical milk kefir grains after some time. They they will pick up color from thei...

Hi Nancy!

Wow so much good information! It sounds like you love experimenting. I'm too scared to mix villi with my kefir, but its good to know you can use the short version. Thank you.

I don't think it will become normal after its bottled. Unfortunately, it will usually stay like that. It's probably not danger...

Re: SECOND FERMENT Success at Last!

Wow, root vegetables. I would never think to even try that. I can see how that would be healthy, but is it also tasty? I want to give it a try.

Re: Travel

I would just keep those grains in the fridge. I've had grains in the fridge for over a year and they came back to full life after 2 batches.
