I been making Ginger beer for almost a year now and the amount of grains always stayed about the same when i retrieved it back.

After a small pause i recently made a new batch, which was delicious, but i noticed the grains were less then i remembered.

Can anyone advice me how to propagate the grains please?

I can not find this anywhere, so thought id ask here.

Greets,

Erwin

I drink some giner beer and moscow mules every saturday. Few days ago i was reading an article() for some giner bee for my moscow mules and i get to know about it that this Zevia Mixer has zero-sugar and zero-sweetener soda is sweetened with Stevia. It is also good to drink on its own or used as a cocktail mixer due to its mild carbonation and slightly citrus-y flavor.
When i order it i like it. Not too bad which i think,
Have you drink that ginger beer ?
By the way i am also look for ginger beer that are good for health. I like variety that's why asked.

I am a pretty experimental person when it comes to my GBP, and I like to throw fruit into my secondary ferments to see what flavors come out. This time around, I had a bit extra apple puree (in addition to ginger and for the sake of science chunks of apple), so I decided to chuck it into my mason jar for the primary ferment. This morning as I was checking on the GBP I realized that the pulp from the apple (which looks really similar to the GBP in color and size) had sunk down and blended in with the GBP.

I was wondering if there was a good way to seperate the pulp and the GBP when the time comes to distill the ginger/apple beer into bottles.

I guess another question would be whether these kind of experiments are worthwhile, or am I doing more harm than good. In my mind, GBP is pretty hardy so I can sort of mess with it to no long-term effect. Is this true, or should I be more careful in the future?

Thanks!

The only time I notice when it gets thick or syrupy like that is when its overwhelmed or too cold. I would try more white sugar and see if it helps or try a warmer spot. I don't think it will become normal after its bottled. Unfortunately, it will usually stay like that. It's probably not dangerous, but its not very appealing either.

It's been 4 days of about 20 degrees.

I did use raw instead of white sugar?

What's caused the syrup? Do I need to do anything or will it sort itself in the bottle?

Cheers

I've done 3 so far and they've tasted great. I've let the first go longer (more acidic) the second 4 days shorter (sweeter) and the third in between.

I split my stuff as it had grown and did one with standard (white sugar, ginger, molasses) and a second with 50/50 white/brown and ginger.

My abv calculator has the ABV about 4.33% but wasn't sure if it could be used as such.

Also, although Yemoos doesn't mention it in their instructions, by far the best way to increase and strengthen your GBP is to fee it egg shells every second cycle. So, one cycle to ferment and one to recover.
